Kyanite-Sillimanite sand

Kyanite-Sillimanite is an aluminosilicate mineral with the chemical formula Al2SiO5. Kyanite-Sillimanite typically occurs in metamorphic rocks, particularly in high-grade metamorphic terrains. It forms under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions during the metamorphism of clay-rich sediments or aluminous rocks. It is commonly found in schists, gneisses, and granulites.

Due to its high melting point and excellent thermal stability, sillimanite is used in various industrial applications. It is employed as a refractory material in the production of ceramics, glass, and metals. Sillimanite’s resistance to heat, chemical corrosion, and electrical conductivity makes it suitable for lining kilns, furnaces, and other high-temperature industrial processes.
