Cellulose

Cellulose has been widely used in the ceramic industry as an external additive. It plays a role of enhancement, water retention, bonding, suspension and dilution in the ceramic body, glaze slip and fancy glaze, and has an obvious effect on improving the quality of ceramic products, especially the quality of the glaze.

With the combination of high thermal stability, high green strength and low fibre content, Cellulose enables high extrusion rates, even with ultra-thin wall substrates. In the drying process Cellulose prevents cracks via its binding effect, additionally supported by its thermal gelation capabilities.
